A major news service has published an in-depth article on Greece and the refugee crisis written by journalism student Alexandra Markovich ’17.

Religion News Service (RNS) is distributed in the U.S. and abroad, and its material is carried by more than 100 news organizations, including The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times.

The article explores what happens to Greece’s legendary hospitality when thousands of Muslim refugees put down roots in one of the world’s most homogeneous Christian nations. Ally produced the article while a student in Reporting on the Front Lines, a summer course led by Joe Stephens, Ferris Professor of journalism.

Ally’s article — and other stories, photos and video produced in the course — can be found here.
