Student journalists Sam Kagan ’24, Elaine Huang ’25, Annie Rupertus ’25, and Charlie Roth ’25 received the Campus Impact Award at Princeton Research Day, the University’s annual celebration of early-career research and creative endeavors.
The four undergraduate students, who served as the inaugural editorial team for The Daily Princetonian’s data section, presented “The Frosh Survey,” a far-reaching census of Princeton’s incoming first-year class founded in-part by their research team.
The Campus Impact Award, sponsored by Campus Life, recognizes one presentation by an undergraduate student, graduate student, or post-doctoral researcher whose research has a demonstrable, meaningful, and potentially lasting impact on some or all campus populations.
Over 125 undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars participated in Princeton Research Day, which was held on May 11. The event was sponsored by the offices of the Dean of the College, the Dean of the Graduate School, the Dean for Research, and the Vice President for Campus Life, with support from the Dean of the Faculty and Office of the Provost.
