Investigative Journalism: Finding the Story

Back to "Spring 2017" courses

Detective, auditor, novelist, spy. Students will learn how to draw on elements from each of these professions as they study, and practice, the craft of investigative narrative journalism.

Through readings, workshops, writing assignments, and discussions with top writers in the field, students will be taught not only how to get into complex subjects, like criminal conspiracies and secret military operations, but, of equal importance, how to get out and construct provocative, compelling stories about them.
