Politics at the Crossroads—A Newsmaker Lunch Conversation with Mara Liasson

Mara Liasson is the national political correspondent for NPR, and can be heard on All Things Considered and Morning Edition. She will join Joe Stephens, director of the Program in Journalism, to discuss the state of politics in Washington, D.C.
Liasson also is a contributor at Fox News and has covered six presidential elections. She formerly was NPR’s White House correspondent for the eight years of the Clinton administration. She has won the White House Correspondents Association’s Merriman Smith Award for daily news coverage three times. She was a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University. Before NPR, Liasson was a freelance radio and television reporter in San Francisco.
Professor Stephens is a veteran investigative projects reporter who spent nearly two decades at The Washington Post, and leads the Newsmaker Dinner discussion series.
