Jane Ferguson

Visiting Lecturer in the Humanities Council; McGraw Professor of Writing (Fall 2020)

Jane Ferguson is an international correspondent for PBS NewsHour and a contributor to The New Yorker. Based in Beirut since 2014, she has reported from the field in Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Gaza. She previously worked as a freelance reporter in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia for Al Jazeera English and CNN International. She is the recipient of the 2019 George Polk Award for Foreign Television Reporting and a 2019 Emmy Award for News and Documentary.
