A two-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize, Jim Dwyer has spent most of his professional life reporting on New York City. He joined The New York Times in 2001 and has written the “About New York” column since 2007. He previously worked for The Daily NewsNew York Newsday, and papers in northern New Jersey.

Dwyer is also an author or co-author of seven books, including, most recently, More Awesome Than Money: Four Boys, Three Years, and a Chronicle of Ideals and Ambition in Silicon Valley.
