Kira Kay is the creator and director of the Bureau for International Reporting, a nonprofit news organization dedicated to the coverage of overlooked foreign issues and regions. Through the BIR she serves as a special correspondent for PBS NewsHour, making regular appearances on the show as a producer of international stories focused on human rights, peace, and security.

Kay has won many major journalism awards, including a Robert F. Kennedy International Journalism Prize and an Emmy.
