Kushanava Choudhury

Visiting Lecturer in the Humanities Council; Ferris Professor of Journalism (Fall 2019)

Kushanava Choudhury has worked as a journalist for more than 20 years, and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Caravan, and The Statesman. He is the author of The Epic City: The World on the Streets of Calcutta, and is currently at work on book about Kerala inspired by Alexis de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America. A former student in the journalism program, Choudhury also holds a PhD in political theory from Yale.
