Neil Bedi is a reporter at ProPublica investigating federal government agencies and policies in Washington, D.C. Previously an investigative reporter at the Tampa Bay Times, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Local Reporting in 2021 for an investigation into the mechanics of a local sheriff’s predictive policing program. Bedi came to journalism from a job developing software on Wall Street and has built a career combining old-school watchdog reporting with modern data-driven techniques.
