Terence Samuel

Visiting Lecturer in the Humanities Council; Ferris Professor of Journalism (Fall 2021)

Terence Samuel is managing editor for news at National Public Radio. He is responsible for managing the daily news gathering of all NPR shows, platforms and news products. In over 30 years in journalism, he has served as an editor at The Washington Post, National Journal and The Root, and as a correspondent at U.S. News & World Report, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and The Philadelphia Inquirer. He is the author of The Upper House: A Journey Behind the Closed Doors of the U.S. Senate.
