Deborah Amos, Ferris Professor of Journalism in Residence and international correspondent for National Public Radio, is among the 22 recipients of the Berlin Prize Fellowship for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 terms.
The fellowship is awarded by the American Academy in Berlin to American or U.S.-based scholars, writers, composers and artists who represent the highest standards of excellence in their fields, from the humanities and social sciences to journalism, public policy, fiction, the visual arts and music composition.
Amos, who has taught in the Humanities Council‘s Program in Journalism since 2017, received the fellowship for her project “The Long Road to Accountability in Syria Runs through Germany.”
